When bad things happen to big chocolate pups get hurt.

This poor girl hurt herself at the beach today. She did a header into the hard packed sand and it looked like she crushed her neck. She managed to limp along the beach and would lay down after every few feet. The dilemma was if she was really hurt internally how was I going to get her off the beach and to a vet quickly?
I didn't have to and she did manage to work it out, but what if it were more serious? Now I am thinking of creating some sort of contraption that can be used an emergency stretcher.

By teaching Blossom the "paw"cue I can direct her to go and put both paws up on any object from a distance and then stay. It comes in handy for more then just a trick, I can keep her out of the way of cyclists by getting her to do this or keep her mind working while we walk.
I find it a fun thing to see how many objects that I can get her up onto which makes the walk more fun for both of us.
